Samuel Hunt Angell grew up in the Hudson Valley of New York. Sam attended high school and law school in Vermont, and he has traveled throughout the world, having lived in Pakistan for three years with his family.

Sam joined Gale, Corum, Mabie, Cook & Prodan in January of 2007 where he practices litigation at the Trial Court and Appellate levels. From 1997 through the end of 2006 Sam practiced at Fitts, Olson & Giddings where he became a Member in 2000. Before moving to Vermont, he practiced in Poughkeepsie, New York, concentrating in tax appeal work. Sam has also worked for the Washington, D.C. Environmental Protection Agency and for an energy consortium in the Czech Republic.

Sam currently serves on the Board of Directors and was President of the In-Sight Photography Project, Inc., a Vermont nonprofit serving Brattleboro area teens.

Sam has participated in the National Championships of Ultimate Frisbee in the College, Open, and Masters Divisions, being a member of the 1995 National Championship team in the Masters Division. Sam enjoys white water canoeing, fly fishing, camping, diving, and gardening. He is married with two children.
